Club Penguin’s Rockhopper Visiting New York City

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

Billybob made a special announcement on the Community Blog about the virtual coats drive. An event will be held this Friday in New York City for people who want to donate a real coat. The most exciting part of this, is that Rockhopper and Billybob himself will be there to greet people! Here is the invitation for it:

Club Penguins Rockhopper Visiting New York City

When: Friday December 2 8:00am EST
Where: Good Morning America Studios – Times Square, New York
What to bring: a real coat to donate to the Warm Coats Warm Hearts campaign

It is recommended that you show up with a coat. If you choose to bring one, the first 300 people to do so will receive a Club Penguin plush toy prize! This plush toy might be a special one for the event, or might even come with a special code. Are any of you attending this? If so, I’d like to know your experience after you return!

Monday, September 5th, 2011

Have any of you penguins ever wanted a free membership for doing something which can only take 10 to 20 minutes? Well, Club Penguin have sent over 50,000 emails to only a few penguins, just picked out of random. Well, I was lucky and I was one of the penguins that got this lucky email! How about you take a looks at it?

Pretty cool eh? But I guess some of you penguins are just thinking. .  What’s the link at the bottom for? Well, this is there for us penguins to go to and complete a survey on how Club Penguin should improve and then we get a membership.  Here’s what the Survey was like.

If you think this is cool, and didn’t get the email you could simply click here to go to the site. Unfortunately, you need a ‘User Name’ which will be your penguin name, which will also be included in the email you get. How about you leave a comment telling us what you think and if you got the email?

Club Penguin Membership Prices Info

Monday, July 4th, 2011

After all of the recent rumors about Club Penguin to increase the prices of Memberships, they have spoken out on the What’s New blog about it. The changes in pricing only affect those who live in United States and Canada. For those people, Club Penguin membership will be $7.95 a month, $39.95 for 6 months and $59.95 for 12 months. This will start on July 13th.

However, if you have a recurring membership, you will not be paying the new price. You will still be paying the $5.95 as long as you stay a member. You’ll also be able to use membership cards with the old price if you already have them.

Club Penguin Membership Prices Info

A lot of this information is disappointing to many penguins. But, Club Penguin does want us to realize that this increase is to help improve the game. Here is what Billybob, a representative of Club Penguin, told us about the increase:

Ever since we launched Club Penguin, we’ve released tons of new games, features and special events, and donated millions of dollars to charitable projects to help kids around the globe. The new price will allow us to create even more great content that will make Club Penguin even better.

I think that this has its advantages and disadvantages. Do you think that more penguins will stop purchasing memberships now? I’m happy that recurring members are allowed to keep paying the old price, but what about penguins who buy Membership cards? I think that this is kind of unfair.

There is also information about how to play the game! To play the Elite Penguin Force Card Game, you will need to collect the most mission points. You collect mission points by completing tasks given to you by your mission card. The mission card is given out at the beginning of the game. For example, a mission card will say “Find 3 numbers in a row”. Once you complete a mission, you pick up another mission card. Since each mission card has a certain number, you add up your number of mission card points. The first person to reach 5 mission points will win.

This game looks really awesome in my opinion! I will keep you updated with more information as it reveals. Remember to leave a comment and tell me your thoughts about the game so far.
